Tidal Power

Tidal power doesn’t get quite as much press as many of the other options, and that is a real shame. In tidal power, what we have is a potentially very useful form of energy with a limitless supply. Tidal power can be generated in a couple of ways – either by tidal stream generators or by barrage generation. It is generally agreed that the former option is the most efficient, although both are viable contenders. These underwater systems operate in much the same way as wind turbines do, except that they are driven by the tides’ power rather than the wind’s. Solar Power

This one is much more well known, and that is not much of a surprise. Tidal power is not spoken about much at all. As with all renewable energies, solar power has the obvious advantage of using an energy source which we can rely on for as long as we need to. There is only one downside to the use of solar power. Wind Power

Wind turbines are popping up all over the place, it seems. And there is not much surprise as to why that should be the case. Wind power is a real force in the world of renewable energy sources. Its use globally has more than doubled in the last four years. It is definitely proving to be a favourite source of energy. It certainly is effective. With a large-scale wind farm, you can easily expect to supply an entire residential grid with electricity – all from the power of the wind! With the high level of output that wind tends to produce, it looks set to continue rising in popularity well into the future.
